Restoring Bunuba women's office, a hub for culture, language, and well-being, damaged by the 2023 Kimberley flood

The Bunuba Women’s Collective has designed a cultural healing program that is working to empower and strengthen Bunuba women and children affected by the 2023 Kimberley floods. For the past two years, the collective has been unable to return to their office due to the devastation caused by the floods. Now, they are seeking donations to help restore this vital space, which will serve as a base for their important cultural, environmental, and community-driven work.

This Bunuba women’s initiative is dedicated to healing and empowering Bunuba women, children and families. Their work focuses on nurturing emotional and social well-being through initiatives that connect women and children to their heritage, language, and traditional knowledge. With a dedicated office, the collective will be able to provide a stable hub for their nursery, bush medicine, and bush foods programs, as well as create a space for language practice, cultural arts, and community gatherings.
