Community Centre at the heart of a community feeling the cost of living pressure
We are a new kind of community centre (though we've been around 40years), working to bring connection, and reduce the barriers of social isolation, by harnessing the strengths of our community.
I don't have enough characters to rant about all you can find here, but it is joy and its all fully accessible (free + without judgement) Food, showers, clothing, hugs, laughs- our centre is a home.
One thing we are seeing a lot lately, is people not accessing much-needed services, due to not having transport or funds for transport. Our centre houses 5 other wonderful organisations who also work closely with those vulnerable in our community. We are not funded for transport facilitation, so we are seeking donations of petrol vouchers and taxi credits to aid in getting people to the services they really need to connect with.
