Resident lives in her rental home with 11-year-old daughter, and was impacted by the February 13th, 2024, storm event and subsequent power outage. Resident receives a disability pension and experiences significant and chronic financial hardship. The loss of food due to the power outage represents an insurmountable financial burden for the resident who does not have the means to replace frozen items since the storm event having incurred other unexpected expenses during this time. Frozen food stores are the family's mainstay during cash poor fortnights. Resident' daughter has outgrown most of her clothing and the resident cannot afford replacement items. She experiences significant stress due to this. Receipt of food vouchers and KMART voucher to assist with clothing would relieve much anxiety and assist in recovery
