A single mother refugee who is determined to make a better life for her family despite significant hardships.
This mother is truly deserving of support during this time of her life. Despite minimal English she is bravely navigating the mental health and legal system whilst raising her teenage daughter. With limited social support, she has tried incredibly hard since coming to Australia gaining qualifications before working part time in childcare and aged care. A washing machine at home will enable her to look after herself and her daughter enabling them to wash work and school clothes. With no current access to a car getting to a laundromat is time consuming and difficult considering her current mental health. Without the generosity of others, she is not able to afford a washing machine on her own.
