Client's unit in country town severely damaged in floods and most household equipment and items were lost.
*Dec 2024 update: The client continues to experience trauma 2 years on from the floods and is still living in a caravan with an uncertain housing future. Recently had their Centrelink payments stopped.
Client currently living in a caravan after his private rental property was severely inundated by flood waters in rural town and was deemed unliveable. He lost the majority of his household items and belongings.
He also lived though the 2011 floods and going through it again has taken its' toll on his mental health which has affected his ability to work. Currently receiving Centrelink payment.
He has three young children and also cares for his father who has a terminal illness.
Client is trying to slowly rebuild his life and any support is much appreciated.
