Acute Mental Health Inpatient Unit
Our unit provides care to people experiencing an acute episode of mental illness or mental health crisis. Our ward has an intensive care area, medium care area, and general care area and we have 26 beds in total.
As part of our occupational therapy program, we run several therapeutic groups each week across all three clinical areas. From a recovery perspective, the groups are beneficial for many reasons- they promote social engagement & teamwork, support people in practicing & consolidating daily living skills, and provide the opportunity for engagement in meaningful activity. Most of all, we hope to be able to provide the opportunity for some fun!
Donations received will be used to support the group program.
