Client lives with partner and 4 children and kinship carer for granddaughter (fam of 7) Affected by 2022 Floods
Client ) has family of 7 with her partner and 4 children (yorta yorta people) and also the kinship Carer for her granddaughter. (8yrs)This family was impacted significantly by the 2022 floods. Family were stranded at their home for 3 weeks with no access in or out.
Water did not go in her home but all underneath right up to her front door which was all sandbagged. They were stranded. All food and supplies were boated in.
Their outside laundry has their fridge and washing machine was under water and all shed contents was damaged. Their beds were undamaged luckily.
Family has had to do cleanup work outside house. As result they are struggling to catch up financially, pay bills, school materials etc.
Client has expressed financial hardship and especially his xmas xmas and needs help with groceries and presents for children.
