A single woman has been living in her car since the flood in 2022. she has physical health conditions such as endometriosis and mental health related to her past traumas- PTSD.-
The woman has been going through many challenges in her life, she now faces a new one, her car has broken down. she is unable to sleep in her car or feel safe there any longer, she needs accommodation immediately as she is vulnerable in the tweed area.
Her Caseworker has tried for several days to contact the Link to Home program, but this has been unsuccessful due to the high demand for homelessness in the area and the need to have a warm, safe place to sleep is important during winter.
Accommodation for this young woman is urgently needed.
