Essentials relief for those affected by COVID19
Many of our local families are struggling financially due to the staggering rent rises due to the COVID19 pandemic. Many are at risk of becoming homeless due to excessise rent price hikes and a lack of available and affordable homes to rent in the area. We are noticing families that were struggling but managing are now approaching our organisation in the dire situation of having nowhere for them or their children to go with all housing support services at capacity and homeless shelters stretched to the limit. We would like to be able to offer them some relief in their struggles to make ends meet by providing them with small vouchers for the essentials for their families. We are asking for $20 vouchers for large supermarket chains to be able to offer a small reprieve in challenging times.
