Christmas lolly run to help with healing journey following the floods. Many families doing it tough.
The Christmas Lolly Run in Fitzroy Crossing is an annual event, this initiative is the result of the collaborative effort of community organisations. All of Fitzroy Crossing were impacted by the flooding of last year and many have been living with family enduring overcrowding, and some are now living in temporary accommodation units waiting for their homes to be rebuilt. Whole communities of youth and families have lost all clothing and belongings and are disengaged in education and society. To continue providing the lolly run, support is needed. We hope to offer a joyous event and an opportunity for families to come together and celebrate. having witnessed the Lolly Run last year we have seen the excitement and memories that are created through this event. With assistance we intend on continuing this fantastic tradition in the assistance of rebuilding community and assisting in their healing journey.
