Climbing Dome
Help a mum support her three year old son with level 2 ASD
After escaping domestic and family violence, my client and her three-year-old son have sought safety and security in our women’s refuge. Her little boy, who has Level 2 Autism Spectrum Disorder, is full of energy and constantly sensory seeking to regulate his emotions. Climbing is one of the few activities that helps him feel stimulated, focused and happy. For this reason, we are hoping to acquire a climbing dome for him to play on. A climbing dome would make a world of difference in his daily life, giving him a safe and structured way to meet his sensory needs. Unfortunately, as a single mum rebuilding her life, affording this on her own is difficult. We’re reaching out to kind-hearted people who might be able to help. If you have a second-hand climbing dome to donate or would like to contribute towards purchasing one, it would mean everything to this little boy and his mum as they navigate his ASD diagnosis and heal from trauma.
