This individual and her son have faced significant financial hardship and mental health concerns after losing their home and many of their belongings in the 2022 floods. They have been at high risk of homelessness and require support in creating a new home.
My client has a denture plate on the top of her mouth which was recently damaged beyond repair.
She is at present working, and feels embarrassed and unable to smile or talk comfortably, it is having a major effect on her mental health and self-esteem. She is currently on the public waitlist but has been for 2years now. Her son has recently returned back into OOHC she is in the process of trying to sort everything out due to it being an interstate case.
This added stress is causing her a great deal of anxiety and hopelessness.
