Whiteboard on Wheels
Volunteers help build confidence and reduce isolation by teaching English, but more resources are needed to support their imp
For over five years, dedicated volunteers have been helping individuals at the community center build their English skills, offering free classes to reduce isolation and empower people to participate more fully in society. These volunteers selflessly give their time and talents, creating a supportive environment where learners feel valued and understood.
However, the journey to overcoming language barriers is often a slow one, and the right tools can make all the difference. Many community members face challenges such as limited access to educational resources or social support. Learning English not only helps them feel less isolated but also opens doors to employment, education, and better integration into the community.
The demand for these classes continues to grow, and with it, the need for more effective ways to teach and engage learners. Providing additional resources like whiteboards on wheels will enhance the learning experience and make it easier for teachers to deliver.
