My client is 30 years old. she has been living in an abusive relationship since she was married off at 13 years old. her husband took her overseas where he held her captive for years, abusing her in all kinds of ways and fathering 6 children from her. They moved back to Melbourne 2 years ago and with the help of my service she has been able to leave with all her children. She is needing loads of support in her unfurnished unit. She is struggling to accept help from FV agencies due to the information and ID they need from her and her fear of her husband finding out her whereabouts - this fear is increased by the fact he has a friend in the police force.
My client needs the help of the community to support her and her children live a safe life free of harm.
