52 year old indigenous man seeking household essentials for new home after sleeping in his car due to losing his job
This kind gentleman has faced immense hardship after resigning from his ACT Government job last year due to a significant loss. Soon after, he was asked to leave his brother's house by the landlord, as he wasn't on the lease, and had no choice but to live in his car to avoid jeopardizing his brother's tenancy.
Thankfully, we’ve helped him move into a unit, but he’s currently living on just over $300 a week from Centrelink and is unable to afford essentials like a fridge. While he’s been saving, he needs support to set up his home. A second-hand fridge would be greatly appreciated, but he would need help with delivery up a set of stairs. Alternatively, new fridges are available from The Good Guys for $349 with a $59 delivery fee.
