Support required for children for Christmas

We are currently supporting approximately 40 families in the Gympie region. Family concerns relate to issues such as domestic and family violence, homelessness, mental health and the care and well-being of the children.
This year is particularly tough for families as Christmas looms. The majority of our families have very little income and the increase in the cost of food and housing has had a detrimental impact on all concerned. This year we are seeking vouchers for food for our families, firstly to enable enough food provision over the school holidays and also for Christmas Day for the children. The secondary bonus to this is that by having enough money to purchase food supplies, Mum and Dads and caregivers will hopefully have enough to buy a small gift for the children in their care for Christmas. We were able assist families last Christmas in this way through the generosity of donations. The feedback from families was very positive and heartfelt.
