New Prescription Glasses for a 61 year old CALD person struggling financially
We work with CALD person who is an asylum seeker and seeking protection in Australia. He is 61 years old man and is not eligible for any Centrelink benefits due to his visa conditions. He is currently in a transitional property and receives supports from various organization for his day-to-day tasks.
He has been having cataract issues and was recommended to wear an eye glass to improve his vision. That was two years ago and recently he has been experiencing head aches and poor eye sights and visited eye doctor to follow up.
The doctor has recommended to change the lens power to the higher version to suit his eyesight and he needs to change the whole frame and the lens due to the age of the spectacle and needs support to be able to do this.
