As a result of her disability, she often feels isolated and disconnected from her peers. Coupled with the trauma she has experienced and her low-income background, she struggles to access the resources needed for her education, such as a laptop for completing homework. Her single mother, unable to afford these necessities, finds it difficult to provide the support needed to help her daughter succeed both socially and academically.
