The applicant lives in a private rental house with her husband, who she cares for, as he is recovering from major surgery. Due to this, he has been unable to work for many months, and are on pensions which has resulted in financial hardship. They were impacted by the tornado and now by TC Alfred. They lost power for 3 days and lost all of their food. Prior to the cyclone, they were living on handouts and are now seeking financial assistance for food.
