76 yr old man had his house completely submerged in 2022 Lismore flood. He needs to leave his home at the end of February.

76 y/o man went through the 2022 Flood and has complex trauma from the flood event and the stress of fighting for support from the NSW Government. He was part of the Tinnie army that saved community members form the flood waters even though his house went under. Client has scraped together a $20,000 deposit for a new home and has received a buy back to purchase the rest. The house needs restumping and its roof fixed but he had no other options. He will need to vacate his flood impacted home completely before being paid out the buy back money. As he has used his only savings and borrowed the rest from friends he has no money to pay for a removalist to move. This man has suffered greatly through the stress of needing to navigate this at his age and is used to giving help but not receiving help. Any help to fund a removalist for a day would be greatly appreciated and would settle his anxiety about such an enormous challenge.
