Stolen Generations Survivor caring for 6 children because their Mother is experiencing severe mental illness
This Stolen Generations survivor has taken on the full-time care of six grandchildren, several of whom live with disability, after their mother became too unwell to care for them due to severe mental illness. Despite her age and failing health, she stepped up to keep the children safe and together, but is now struggling to meet their most basic needs — especially food. She is not receiving formal support for the children because of elder abuse. The emotional, physical, and financial strain is overwhelming, and she urgently needs support to continue caring for these vulnerable children and herself.
