Kimberley Flooding

Give what's needed

Trolley jack

Older residents impacted by Kimberley Floods

An older couple where seriously impacted during the Kimberley flooding event of January 2023. They lost vehicles as well as household goods and their house is extensively damaged. They are now living in Temporary Accommodation Units (TAU) on site while the demolition and rebuild of their home takes place. They are struggling to understand the complexities of the works and timelines and the mental anguish at the loss of their home is taking its toll on them both. They are being supported by their community as much as possible.

As they are living in a furnished TAU, they don't require much until they move into their new home, with the timeframe still being unclear.
