Young mother-to-be is 16 years old and pregnant. Limited family support. Financial vulnerability and housing instability.

16-year-old is pregnant and due in January 2025. She has experienced trauma as a child and although she lives with her mother, the family are experiencing housing instability and currently live in emergency funded motel accommodation. The young mum to be and her family experience financial vulnerability and are seeking support to be able to provide necessary items for her baby when it arrives. Items required include a bassinette, pram and a car seat capsule. The young mum is very motivated to be the best mother she can be and her particular strength is to seek support. Young mother-to-be accesses our Young Parents Program for pregnancy and childbirth education, peer support and individual counselling and support. She attends school and is planning to continue her studies as soon as possible once her baby is born.
