A Fitzroy Crossing resident has been completely devastated by the impact of the Kimberley Floods in early 2023.

A Fitzroy Crossing resident has been completely devastated by the impact of the Kimberley Floods in early 2023. The entire property comprising of residences, a wildlife rehabilitation centre, storage facilities and other infrastructure including fencing were severely impacted by the disaster.
The resident has been incredibly traumatised by the experience and unfortunately this has negatively impacted her ability to progress the clean-up and restoration of the property. Furthermore, all the plant and equipment, including storage containers, household items, furniture and fixtures at the property were destroyed which has further hampered her capacity to commence works. This request, if granted, will provide some of the equipment required to restore the property and enable her to return to her home, regain her sense of purpose, improve her mental health and begin the healing process in her recovery journey.
