Family moving to Private rental after housing insecurity due to floods
I am writing on behalf of a family who have finally secured a private rental after facing years of housing insecurity due to the 2022 floods. During this time of living in, and managing the challenges that come with temporary accommodation, the mother has undertaken treatment for cancer, which has taken a huge toll on her overall health and wellbeing.
One of the adult children in this family has an Autism diagnosis and still resides at home as the mother is the key carer and stability for them in managing day-to-day life independently.
This single parent family have worked hard to find a private rental and have finally been successful in securing a place on their own to rebuild their life together after losing so much in the 2022 floods.
As they begin the process of setting up their new home, they are seeking some support with the essentials to help them along their way and are very appreciate for any support they may receive.
