My client is a single person on the disability support pension, facing financial abuse by those close to her.
My client is a single person who lives in a one bedroom unit. She has family who drop in in and refuse to leave, no one contributes and she is left to feed and house them. She has hard time saying no but even when she does she's ignored.
My clients brothers both have no I.D and she allowed them to get payments into her account. One of the brothers has taken advantage and not only withdrawn his money but also all of hers. This has happened more than once and has caused so much stress anxiety and debt.
In an attempt to keep her food safe from the people staying at her house, my client would like to put food into a bar fridge that she can lock. She is always left with no food for herself, forcing her to seek assistance for food. Also a filing cabinet she can lock for her pantry items would be greatly appreciated.
My client has no storage in her unit and her clothes are currently stored in garbage bags a chest of draws would greatly help her storage situation.
