Family of four who have been living in emergency accommodation since the 2022 floods have moved into private rental require supports. The family have been applying for private rentals for a very long time with no success ,having them to continually reside in emergency accommodation/motels which affected the family mentality causing distress ,depression etc. The family decided to merge their separate rental application to one application with another family in same situation and have been successful in obtaining a private rental which is suited to both family's needs. The family have reached out for supports in obtaining some help with essential household items needed to make their new residence a home. The family were placed in emergency accommodation after their previous home were uninhabitable to move back into after flood waters, debris damaged the home and contents. The family is originally from Murwillumbah .
