Older sister takes in teenage brothers to prevent residential care, striving to provide stability but needs urgent support.

A young woman, now an apprentice chef, has experienced housing instability since childhood due to her parents' struggles. Despite these challenges, she has started pursuing her passion and striving to create a stable future. Recently, she has been granted custody of her two younger brothers, aged 12 and 14, to prevent them from entering residential care, fearing it would be too harmful.
Her partner has quit his job to ensure they could meet the standards required to care for the boys, demonstrating their commitment to providing a safe and loving environment. For months, the family has shared cramped accommodations at her partner’s mother’s home, living in one bedroom and the lounge. With the support of OzChild and Child Protection, they have now secured a small unit but are left without essential household items after using their savings for bond and rent. As they move in this weekend, they urgently need help to furnish their home and make it suitable for the children.
