Grandmother of 5, and primary carer, seeing support to keep the children engaged at home
A grandmother in regional NSW is caring for her 5 children, recently becoming the full time carer as her family were consumed by drug addiction, unemployment and chronic mental health issues. One of the children has a life-long chronic illness requiring ongoing support to travel to and from home to hospital, some 700kms away.
This child is also immune compromised, and in addition to the Grandmothers physical limitations, she is seeking support to help keep them engaged at home, and to hopefully, take a little pressure off in the coming weeks and months as she tries to stabilise her new family routines.
