Single first nations mother with 5 children aged 13 and under. She has another child on the way. She is suffering the effects of ongoing DV and has been affected by FNQ floods. Mother is also struggling financially due to rising costs of living. Her home was inundated with flood waters resulting in loss of all household furniture and appliances. Mother is currently pregnant with child number 6 and is sharing a bed with 4 of her children due to lack of furniture from the floods and being unable to afford to replace. Mother has been experiencing ongoing DV for the past 14 years and has recently escaped this DV and is starting over.
