Our purpose is to make a real difference at the very start life for an Aboriginal child and their mother

Our purpose is to make a real difference at the very start life for an Aboriginal child and for their mother. We do this by connecting that mother with midwives and support workers at Aboriginal Health Services and AMIHS, by gifting a safe sleeping designed bassinet filled with new mum & bubs essentials. We call this the "Crib"

The "Crib" is delivered to the mum preterm or just after birth, by those trusted people (health services, midwives, social worker etc) who support her pre and post-natally. The "Crib" truly celebrates the birth of her child.

The "Crib" contains all those items a mother needs to support her and her new baby in those important early months, baby bedding (including safe sleeping advice), clothing, mothers’ essentials for personal care etc.

The midwives tell us "Crib" is life changing for these mums to be. We seek to keep babies with mothers and family, improve pregnancy, birthing and infancy health outcomes and actively support Aboriginal mothering
