Give what's needed

Bassinet

Young pregnant Aboriginal woman, history of trauma, determined to provide loving, safe, stable home for baby.

A young woman, pregnant with her second child, recently relocated with her loving and supportive partner from Sydney to Ballina to escape family abuse and access much-needed support from family in the area. Both she and her partner have experienced significant trauma and are determined to create a safe and loving environment for their child, ensuring a different story for their family. After a second-trimester miscarriage, she feels anxious about this pregnancy and is working hard to prepare for the baby’s arrival in October. Really lovely, warm and capable couple who are working hard to reestablish themselves, both hard workers, having always been employed. With her partner ineligible for financial assistance and actively seeking employment, they are currently reliant on a single Centrelink payment and are in urgent need of financial support to cover essential expenses during this challenging time.
