58 year old Aboriginal Woman, lives with daughter, intellectual disability, diagnosis of lung cancer, inoperable
Aboriginal woman, living with her adult daughter who she cares for. She and her daughter both have an intellectual disability and require supports. Recently diagnosed with inoperable cancer, requires increased supports in day-to-day care. Does not drive, only means of transport is gopher which enables her to go to shops for essential supplies and to connect with others. She struggles to walk small distances due to increased pain levels and fatigue; her gopher is her independence and is imperative for her mental wellbeing. She recently had a small accident with her gopher and repairs are needed which she does not have the financial means to pay as her only income is the disability support pension.
