Indigenous ladies football team impacted by flooding event, desperate for AFL gurneys to be able to play this season 2024

The Kimberley region was seriously impacted by the flooding event from Ex-TC Ellie in January 2023. An indigenous community situated on the banks of the Fitzroy River was seriously inundated and footy season 2023 was not able to be held. Young women of the community want to be able to participate in this coming AFL footy season but to do so they require funding for their gurneys. These women have endured economic hardship, mental health issues, and overcrowding due to the flooding event and this footy season would be a big boost to their mental and physical health.
