Young single mother of 2 who is currently homeless.
Young single mother of 2 is currently homeless living with a family member in a two-bedroom unit with 5 other adults. She said that is constantly buying food for her and the 2 girls, but it doesn't seem to go very far. As she is sharing a kitchen and fridge others seem to be helping themselves. She said she has put her name on food, but it doesn't seem to matter, as it still goes missing. She has addressed her concerns with the others to only be told well you could be living on the streets, so her only option is to buy food for the three of them as they need it daily, but it seems to be costing her more. Mentor is advocating for her to secure her own house through housing, but the wait list is very long unfortunately. She is struggling financially with everyday living and being able to provide for her girls. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
