A young woman recently exited state care at 18, determined to pursue her passion for sewing and fashion design but lacking the necessary resources to bring her dream to life. Since leaving care, she has connected with our youth transitional program, where she has been developing her sewing skills through workshops and one-on-one sessions. Despite her progress, she still faces significant barriers in accessing the tools needed to explore her creativity and potential fully. To support her dream of learning to sew and designing her clothes, we seek to provide her with a sewing machine. This would allow her to take her skills to the next level, offering the opportunity for hands-on practice, independent learning, and the potential to build a sustainable career in the fashion industry.
