Food request for asylum seeker family in extreme financial distress. Family impacted by cancer.
I am seeking support for a family experiencing extreme financial distress. The father is diagnosed with thyroid cancer and as a result is unable to work. The mother is suffering from a collapsed vertebra, along with a range of other medical issues.
The family has applied for a protection visa to remain in Australia and, at this time, does not qualify for Centrelink or other government assistance. They are currently without income and are relying on food banks and the support of friends to make ends meet during this challenging period. Despite their best efforts to care for their 11-year-old daughter, the financial strain caused by both parents' health issues makes it difficult for them to afford even basic necessities.
The family would be deeply grateful for food vouchers to help alleviate some of the financial pressures they are facing. Any financial assistance provided would greatly support their ability to access medical care and cover essential living costs.
