Surviving Family of Domestic Violence still at risk and Mother's Cancer Diagnosis
A mother of 7 is facing unimaginable challenges. Years of severe domestic violence left her with lifelong injuries & PTSD, while her children struggle with their own trauma. Days after escaping to a refuge, she was diagnosed with cancer, making the return to work, to provide for her family it impossible right now, but a step she desperately wants to make. Transport is critical for this family & is vital for attending oncology appts in Perth, getting the children to school, accessing support services & managing daily life. It also represents independence & safety if faced with danger again. Tragically, the mother missed her last oncology appt due to unsafe tyres, putting her health at further risk. Currently, their car needs new tyres. Without them, the family risks losing access to essential services, education, and medical care. A dependable vehicle would transform their lives, ensuring they can meet immediate needs while rebuilding stability and security after years of adversity.
