Although their house was spared from the floodwaters, the surrounding area was heavily affected, leaving them without power, phones, or internet. The household was in disarray. Without electricity, they couldn’t wash clothes or linen, and the lack of communication made it difficult to reach out for help. The elderly couple are also the primary caregiver who also, face the daunting task of looking after their three grandchildren amidst these challenging conditions.
