Elderly rural couple affected by flooding 2022 who are still not able to recover
Elderly couple who have been huge support in their local community for years, are in Financial Hardship themselves. Their only two retirement income streams were damaged by October 2022 floods. Their rental property; was flooded and is still unlivable, costing them money, unsellable, and they do not have money to fix it. Their only income is their pension, which barely covers everyday living. They had their driveway access to a paddock damaged by the floods on their rural property; these trees that were due to be lobbed in 2023 and support them in their retirement. This lovely couple who have been so independent in this journey, but are now reaching out for help, and support would be much appreciated. Client needs hands on help to fix their rental property, materials for the repairs, material aide and support with earthworks to create a new access to their trees.
