Flood affected single mother of 4 experiencing extreme financial hardship seeking support.
UPDATE - Rental is now up for sale & family are facing homelessness.
Woman currently in hospital after emergency surgery, could have died. Will be unable to work, for quite some time. Seeking support to cover basic life costs to help support paying rent whilst recovering.
Family were flood impacted and displaced as a result of the floods and then due to lack of housing had to pay high short term rental prices after the floods.
Ex partner and father to 4 kids took his own life just before Christmas.
Mother has had to borrow lots of borrow to be able to secure a new rental and home for her children and to also replace some of their flood affected furniture.
Mother only has casual employment.
On-going financial hardship and uncertainty is impacting on her mental health.
Seeking support this Christmas season, they will be grateful for any help given.
