Single parent family has tree fall on their home during a storm
A single mother of three, the family has faced hardships, including severe flooding and storms in New South Wales from 2022 to 2024. The youngest child has multiple learning difficulties, including dyslexia and dyspraxia, which has added to the daily challenges. In 2022, they also escaped domestic violence, further complicating their already difficult circumstances. Nine weeks ago, they moved into a new home, hoping for a fresh start. However, in last week's extreme weather, a large tree fell on the family house, causing significant damage. The family was left without power for four days, and as a result, their laundry and some kitchen appliances were destroyed and no longer working, forcing them to throw away spoiled food.
