Client is experiencing homelessness for the first time age 55

Client has been homeless for 2 months, sleeping rough in CBD at age 55. Client was working full time and privately rented, this house was sold, client was unable to find affordable private rental in time, leaving him homeless. Client did not disclose this to his family, his adult daughters who he raised as a single Dad as he did not want to worry them. Client then attempted suicide due to hopelessness and shame around his situation, feeling like he should not be in this situation at his age. Client was hospitalised and then completed intake to crisis accommodation and has been accepted into Community Housing. Client needs support around settlement into his new place.
