20-year-old due to give birth in January 2025. Experiencing housing instability, poverty and lacks family support.

Young mum-to-be is pregnant, due in January 2025. Young mum to has experienced DFV in her childhood and was a child in care who transitioned from care when she turned 18. She is highly motivated to provide a safe and secure home for her baby and be the best mother she can be. She had been accessing support for childbirth education, peer support and individual counselling and support. Due to experiencing childhood trauma, housing instability, financial vulnerability and lack of family support, this young mum has reached out to our Young Parents Program (YPP) for assistance to gather the things she needs for her baby. These include a bassinette, car seat and a pram. We do not have brokerage to be able to provide these for her and are seeking support from GIVIT to help this young mum. Pram needs to be suitable for newborn to toddler. No strollers please.
