Young Mum has had a devastating end to 2024 with the death of a child, escaping DV, and returning to her home after 3 months
Young mum has seen more than her fair share of crisis. Losing a child, Escaping FDV and fleeing her home with 2 young children was her end of 2024.
Now the perpetrator who smashed up the families belonging is incarcerated, the family have been able to return to their home after a 3 month stay in a refuge.
Prior to leaving to seek safety the young mum had been assisted by an Escaping Violence Payment and has single beds for the children she hasnt had the chance to unpack, which is lucky as now the childrens bedrooms have been inundated with mould due to the rain event. These rooms are not air conditioned so the mould has been difficult to control. The main bedroom is the only room in the house with air conditioning so the little family sleep in one room.
