33 yr old man, severe psychiatric illness, back injury, severe asthma who is living in a rough bush camp. Awaiting housing
This man has not gained ground since the 2020 fires in his area that caused him to be evacuated and hospitalised due to asthma and worsening of his psychiatric challenges.
His bush camp is very basic. No power, water or hygiene facilities. He walks to a public shower and has been on housing list for years. Currently awaiting NDIS support and housing. He has a dog for company. This man is the gentlest human who sadly has limited insight into his barriers and lives day to day doing what he needs to stay alive.
Let’s lift him up with kindness and prepare him for an autumn/winter of continuing homelessness. Hoping his housing application comes through but until then he deserves dignity and support,
