Young person migrated to Australia and exploring new hobbies

The young person (16) that this request is for has migrated to Australia alone after living in South-East Asia since he was an infant. The migration occurred as an endeavor to increase education/employment opportunities for this young man, however the family arrangement in place was deemed to be an unsafe home-environment and this young man has now transitioned into a youth homeless shelter.

He has no family supports available in Australia as his mum continues to save for a visa to join him. This young man consistently attends school, despite a lengthy commute, and is working hard towards becoming an independent member of the community. Due to his lack of social and familial supports, he has identified hobbies such as photography and music to keep himself actively engaged in activities and learn new skills. He would like to request a donation of either a camera (Sony a7r2 or anything digital really), or a guitar with an amp, which would support him in continuing these activities.
