Elderly Rochester Resident recently diagnosed with terminal illness was impacted by October 2022 Flood and again in Jan 2024
This resident was severely impacted and displaced by October 2022 Flood event. Repairs were well underway when they were re-impacted by the January flood event earlier this year. Shortly after this the resident was diagnosed with cancer and has been undergoing treatment since.
The Resident is experiencing financial stress. They are burdened by unforeseen medical costs and still must fund repairs to the house for the second time.
The Resident’s family are helping where they can, but your help is sought to resource them also.
A request for vouchers for food, petrol and hardware would bring a small relief to this extremely challenging time.
