The Les Twentyman Foundation

The Les Twentyman Foundation formerly (20th Man Fund) aims to reconnect young people with their families and communities enabling them to reach their full potential and make a positive contribution to society.

Young people in Melbourne’s West are facing increasing hardship that ultimately leads to behavioural problems. The pressure placed on a young person living in a low socio-economic area is not well understood by the general population. This pressure leads to the young person disconnecting from society in general, sinking into extreme levels of low self-esteem and self-worth, disengaging from school and family and engaging in high-risk activity.

Founded by Les Twentyman OAM, the Les Twentyman Foundation provides crucial support services for young people and their families. It offers positive programs and services covering education-support, sports and recreation, counselling, personal development, life–experiences and employment pathways

The Lismore Soup Kitchen Inc.

The Lismore Soup Kitchen at the former Winsome Hotel fills a vital role in the Lismore region. It was established in 1990.

In 2019, it served over 80 hot lunchtime meals every day, a staggering 30,000 meals a year, as well as take away food to marginalised and disadvantaged people. This, along with provision of an array of essential support services, including medical, financial and personal counselling, Centrelink, Housing NSW and other support agencies.

Accommodation for formerly homeless men is available at the Winsome and also for a small number of people, both men and women, at Mazzer House. The Hotel has accommodated 164 people in the past decade.

The Lodge Youth Support Service

The Lodge Youth Support Service is a not for profit community organisation providing medium to long term accommodation with twenty-four-hour support for at risk young people aged 16-25 years. Most young people accessing our services are from disadvantaged backgrounds and as a result many have experienced homelessness, trauma, isolation, family breakdown and poverty. Here at The Lodge we support these young people to address these issues and equip them with the skills necessary to live independently, break the cycle of homelessness and engage positively in the community.

The Lung Warrior Incorporated

The Lung Warrior Incorporated supports sick children and their families that are suffering with Lung conditions in Western Australia.

The MARA Project

MARA is a women’s re-entry program that operates within the three South East QLD women’s correctional centres:

MARA is a voluntary program available to all women in custody. The MARA team supports women while in custody to transition into the community.
MARA’s key goal is to provide initial community support, while identifying and linking women to long standing support networks to keep them safe and give them the best chance of remaining out of prison.
MARA provides a wraparound holistic service, offering assistance to link women to specialist supports in the community as required.

The Mend & Make Do Crew Inc

The primary output from our organisation is the production of a range of kits donated to any Homelessness, Emergency Relieft and Mental Healthy programs and organisations. This is includes reponding to disasters.

Our kit range includes Cleaning Kits, Toiletry Kits, Linen Kits and Kitchen Starter Kits and other ad hoc items as requested.

The Migrant and Refugee Settlement Services of the ACT Inc.

The Migrant and Refugee Settlement Services of the ACT’s mission is to be a leader in provision of settlement and related services for migrants, refugees and humanitarian entrants in the ACT and region, in a caring, supporting and enabling way.

MARSS was established in 1980 as the Migrant Resource Centre and incorporated in 1983. MARSS has grown to become a vibrant service-oriented organisation, incorporating programs for migrants of all ages to assist with language, welfare, employment, access and equity for people from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.

MARSS provides a variety of services including:
- Settlement services (accommodation, health appointments, education, information, orientation)
- English classes
- Home Tutor Program
- Sports programs
- Program for After School Studies
- Computer classes
- Registered Training Organisation
- Driving lessons and Road Ready classes
- Job Preparation
- Art, craft and dance classes

The Mission to Seafarers Port Kembla

We are a member of a charity which serves the needs of seafarers world wide. We are based at Port Kembla, NSW and we look after the seafarers on board the ships which visit our harbour.
Before Covid 19 we visited the ships to take ashore any seafarers who wanted to get to our mission to relax, use the internet and visit the shops.
Since covid 19 came, no seafarers are allowed off their ships so we have been packing gift boxes and delivering them to the ships as they visit our harbour. So far we have taken boxes to almost 200 ships since the start of Covid 19.

The Music Trust - Resound Bushfire Appeal

Resound is a program of the Music Trust/Australian Arts Trust. We replace musical instruments and musical equipment lost in bushfires and floods with donated musical instruments and donated musical equipment.

The Mustard Seed

We are a community centre funded by Church at the Gabba. We offer support programs to the community and food relief to those experiencing hardship.
We are starting up a Heart and Craft group where community members can come and learn some craft skills, make some items to sell and the proceeds go back to the community.

The Neighbourhood Hub

The Neighbourhood Hub delivers services and community development activities to the Mackay Region. It has two locations within Mackay and provides a range of supports to families and vulnerable individuals.

The Nest Community Inc

The Nest Community is a volunteer-run, not-for-profit organisation created to develop and maintain a community for the purposes of reducing social isolation, to provide advocacy, education and harm prevention strategies for women and children. We believe opportunities to learn, connect and create should be accessible to women and children of all backgrounds. With no government funding, each week over 50 volunteers generously donate their time and energy to keep our doors open. There are no paid staff and yet, since we opened our doors in 2014, we have have developed partnerships through out Brisbane, and over 3500 women have visited and connected in our urban retreat based in Everton Park, Brisbane. We believe fostering connections in the community will result in greater harmony and resilience. Our programs reduce social isolation through forming inter generational connections between women and children regardless of age, cultural or economic background.

The New School of Arts Neighbourhood House Inc.

We are a multipurpose, community-based Neighbourhood Centre in South Grafton on the North Coast of NSW. We provide a range of child, youth, family & community services including Long Day Care, Occasional Care, After School Care, Vacation Care, Community Hubs, Community Kitchen, Community Garden, Youth Hubs, School Holiday Programs, Community Garage, and Volunteer Programs.

The Nurtured Village Hampers

Founded in 2019, ‘The Nurtured Village’ is a registered maternal mental health charity in Australia. The Nurtured Village has been forging communities in towns and cities around Australia in an effort to bring back the traditional village of support in early parenthood.

Each month our coordinators knock on a families door with a car boot load full of donated home cooked meals, baby essentials, non-perishables and small gifts in an effort to provide practical support to families, express solidarity, kindness and in the process, forge villages around the nation for families.

The Orange Door - Western Melbourne Area

The Orange Door is a free service for adults, children and young people who are experiencing or have experienced family violence and families who need extra support with the care of children.

The Pavilion School

Pavilion School operates two campuses in Preston and Epping, Victoria, serving 220 students aged 12-20. Our student body comprises individuals dealing with a variety of challenges such as financial hardship, complex home environments, mental health issues, and some cases of homelessness or involvement in the youth justice system. 39% of our students are Aboriginal. We ensure access to education for all students, regardless of their circumstances. Our initiative, the Pav Pantry, is a practical embodiment of this principle. Open around the clock, the Pantry provides food, clothing, and basic hygiene items. It's regularly used by about half of our students. Beyond meeting basic needs, the Pantry helps create a supportive community, reduces barriers to learning, and improves school engagement.

The Philanthropic Collective

We are a small not-for-profit charity operating in the Dandenong Ranges – Yarra Ranges. We run a free food program supporting over 500 families, students and seniors weekly.

The Pinnacle Foundation

The Pinnacle Foundation is Australia’s LGBTQIA+ education charity. Our vision is for a more diverse and inclusive society with visible LGBTQIA+ role models.

Our flagship program awards educational scholarships, mentoring and opportunities to young LGBTQIA+ Australians to realise their full potential.

We award multi-year scholarships nationally to students aged 18 - 26 for fulltime study at public higher education institutions in Australia to achieve educational/ vocational qualifications in any profession, trade, or the arts.

Every Pinnacle scholar is carefully matched with a mentor who shares the same academic and professional interests, gender identity and sexual orientation. The mentor acts as a role model. They will have walked the scholar’s path – providing the encouragement and inspiration to support the scholar’s rounded development and successful completion of their studies.

Scholars and alumni also receive opportunities through the wider Pinnacle "family."

The Prince Charles Hospital

The Prince Charles Hospital is a major teaching hospital in Brisbane's northside with an emphasis in cardiac and respiratory medicine and cardio-thoracic surgery.

The Prince Charles Hospital - Chermside Community Mental Health Service

The Prince Charles Hospital’s mental health program provides an integrated community and inpatient service to people aged 18 years and older. We support the recovery of adults with mental illness through a range of assessment, treatment and support services.

The Pyjama Foundation

We provide children in out of home care the opportunity to change the direction of their lives with learning, life skills and confidence. We recruit, screen, train and support volunteers (learning mentors) who are matched with a child in care, spending time with them once a week, focusing on learning-based activities. Volunteers read books, play educational games and help children with their homework. Most importantly, the volunteers give children in out of home care a chance to reach their life potential. Children in care have the lowest education outcomes nationally. By improving their learning skills, The Pyjama Foundation is making a positive, life-long impact

The Rivers Secondary College is the heart of public school education for students in Lismore NSW.

The Rock Family and Community Support

We are here to provide support to the local community in the form of services aimed at the vulnerable and disadvantaged.

We provide food parcels for those who are able to collect from our Foodlink facility in Capalaba. The food parcels are subsidised to help with those on a tight budget. For more information see our website.

We have access to government emergency relief funding to help when crises arise in people's lives. There is a qualification process. We are happy to help where we can. Emergency Relief is available to those outside the Redlands area. Email or call us to see if we can help.

The Royal Melbourne Hospital - Family Safety Team

The RMH Family Safety Team provides education and secondary consultation services to staff whose patients disclose family violence. We promote/advocate for FV through workplace events and donation drives.
