Local Flood Help - Camden Haven

Local Flood Help - Camden Haven, umbrellaing under Camden Haven Chamber of Commerce, was set up directly to help co-orinate the local volunteers wanting to help out and to provide information to the flood effected homes. Local Flood Help- Camden Haven has direct contact with owners and renters, and are members themselves of the community.

Lockyer Community Centre

We operate a Community & Neighbourhood centre that provides a focal point in the community where people can access information, supportive and advisory services. We operate several ongoing programs whilst continually being committed to researching and developing new programs and services to meet the community needs. Our purpose is to provide community members with strategies, skills and knowledge to enhance their self-resilience and enable them to cope with changes in the community, economic and health situations. By equipping our community with such skills this will contribute towards and stronger and more connected community environment. Our aim is to connect and support members of our community.

Lockyer Valley Regional Council

Environmental health addresses all the physical, chemical, and biological factors external to a person, and all the related factors impacting behaviours. It encompasses the assessment and control of those environmental factors that can potentially affect health. It is targeted towards preventing disease and creating health-supportive environments.

Lockyer Valley Riding for the Disabled

We are a not- for- profit, volunteer organisation that provides therapeutic and recreational horse riding and related activities to people with physical and/or mental disabilities.

Logan East Community Neighbourhood Assn Inc

The centre provides social educational and welfare programs such as emergency relief, Nils and step up loans frequently clients cant afford to repay the loans due to lack of income and we try to source alternate good for them basic items like fridge washing machine, table chairs and beds are always in high demand for the essentials we give away food parcels at no cost to vulnerable clients and help with budgeting advice.

Loganlea Community Centre

We are a community centre that offers seniors groups, a communal garden. we have women's groups. workshops. food parcels Play Group Kids Club Social activities, Cultural Conversations and many other programs, we have a Hub which offers very reasonably prices clothing etc. to the community we are all inclusive and are open to all the community. Our centre provides a place to socialise, make friends, learn new hobbies and education. We offer a safe place to come and have a coffee and a chat when needed and our centre is very welcoming to all.

Lokahi Foundation

The Lokahi Foundation is a charity that focuses on supporting women and children who are or have been victims of domestic or family abuse.
We provide support to enable and empower women to reclaim their lives, achieve a secure environment and improve their personal situation.
Lokahi provide advocacy, information, referrals and support services for our clients.
Our experienced caseworkers deliver ongoing support that is designed to help survivors regain their freedom and independence, with support continuing for as long as each individual needs it.
The service also works closely with other community agencies and organisations to obtain the best possible outcomes for individuals and families.

Longreach Regional Council

Longreach has experienced major flooding in the past and Ilfracombe, Isisford and Yaraka have been isolated for lengthy periods of time due to rising floodwaters. Graziers have also experienced periods of isolation due to flood events.

Loop Foundation

Loop is a WA social enterprise and Australia’s first corporate upcycling company. Loop was founded in 2017 to minimise corporate textile waste and create meaningful social
impact in Australia. Loop’s mission is to reduce the 800,000 tonnes of textiles that Australia sends to landfills each year and to create training and employment opportunities for people living with disadvantages.

We work with companies to develop unique and innovative programs to deal with redundant
uniforms – diverting them from landfills and upcycling them into new, useful products, such as tote
bags, duffle bags, hats, backpacks and much more. Loop supports new migrants and refugees, those in the justice system, living with a disability, suffering from mental illness, victims of domestic violence, the homeless and older Australians.

Lord Somers Camp & Power House

We are a diverse volunteer-led community organisation with a focus on young people, leadership and active participation. We partner with others to develop and deliver challenging experience based programmes which engage with people of all ages, including those most disadvantaged in the community. Our volunteers provide service to the community and we partner with such organisations as SAIL, Very Special Kids and the Mirabel Foundation to provide their clients with respite and connection to the community.

Lotus Support & Counselling Services Incorporated

Lotus is a NFP operated 100% by volunteers providing support for people experiencing homelessness and disadvantage through free / by donation counselling and a myriad of ways via outreach including provision of supplies to make life a bit more comfortable, phones if needed, help to complete forms for Housing / DSP, transport to medical appointments, socialisation, advocacy where needed, opportunity to work off court fines, and more dependent on participant need

Lou's Place

Lou’s Place is a women’s daytime community drop-in and crisis service located in Redfern. Our service assists women experiencing or at risk of experiencing homelessness, domestic and family violence, child protection and criminal justice issues, complex trauma, substance use issues, disability, and mental health conditions. Lou’s Place is a safe place for women and offers a range of free supports, services, and group activities, as well as drop-in and referral assistance where no appointment is necessary. Lou’s Place provides a supportive context for women to tackle life’s challenges by offering services that help them rebuild self–respect, stability, and security in their lives. Our safe environment allows women the opportunity to consider their options, imagine a different life and take steps to build it.

Love in Action Broadford Incorporated

Each week we provide food, toiletries and cleaning goods to homeless and struggling people in our area.
Each Friday our volunteers make up boxes of fruit and vegetables for people who have made an appointment. They come in and choose items from the pantry stock, then take their fresh boxes. These people have been assessed as needy by the Ececutive of Love in Action Broadford. WE ask them to come in as that means they need to get up, get dressed and come into the Centre. Many of these have had their mental health improved as a result and are now volunteering to help us out regularly. If needed, we do deliver-people who are sick, who don't have a car etc. A cup of tea and a sit down with others usually takes place. At times we have items to give out free as well. WE give Easter, Christmas, gifts and supply the children with school stationery. WE do make sure they have connected with other support systems, that their rent taken out of their pension so they don't get behind with rent.

We gift and rehome high-quality donated nursery and children's goods to families experiencing hardship, to ensure all children living in South West Vic have access to essential resources they need to grow and thrive, while reducing the amount of goods sent to landfill. We partner with support agencies, social welfare organisations, and maternal and child health services to coordinate the distribution of gifted goods.

The Luke Priddis Foundation is a Penrith based non-profit providing therapeutic services and social opportunities to autistic children, young people, and their families.

The Luke Priddis Foundation caters to clients aged 2-18 years old. Luke Priddis Foundation is known for being a centre for Autism, however, a diagnosis is not necessary to receive services.
Individual therapies in Speech Pathology, Psychology, and Occupational Therapy for autistic children and young people.

Luma

Luma is a not-for-profit organisation that specialises in women's health issues. These include medical, counselling, mental health, drug and alcohol support, parenting, domestic violence, community workshops, and professional training. Our programs and services are open to all West Australian women and their families, with consideration made for the unique needs of Aboriginal, migrant and refugee families. We have two central offices in Joondalup and Northbridge and also co-locate in some other areas, and creche and interpreting services are available.
